Community Hubs are welcoming spaces where families from diverse backgrounds come to connect, share, and learn. Broadmeadows Valley Primary School is one of 41 schools in Victoria with an embedded Community Hub accessible to families and the wider community.
These hubs are integrated into primary schools, utilizing existing school facilities, local government resources, and community services. They help bridge the gap between families and the wider community by connecting families with each other, their schools, and local support services. Additionally, hubs provide access to health, wellbeing, and education services.
“As someone new to the community, I have gathered that joining the programs as a good opportunity. Because of them, I have acquired additional learnings that I can use in my everyday life. I also got to know a lot of people from different countries that I have become friends with.”

“When I pursue a job in the future, I will bring with me all that I have experience from the community hub. The learnings have boosted my confidence. It has been a meaningful experience for me who is only beginning her journey in this country.”
