Principal's Message

Julie Andrews - BVPS Acting Principal

We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We pay our respects to all First Nations elders, past, present and emerging.

I am very proud to see the work all the students have done in making posters which have been put up in the central area of the school today to recognise MABO Day and the end of reconciliation week. I can see that a lot of effort has gone into this and wish to thank the teachers and students for their efforts.

I’m sure students have gone home and let parents know about the 5 cent drive classes are running at the minute. This is a fundraising event organised by the school council fundraising subcommittee. The teachers gave the students input into what they would like the money raised to be spent on and it has been decided that they would like the money to be used to purchase additional games for use on occasions such as wet day timetables. I know many of you have already sent in 5 cent pieces and thank you for your support.  I am very proud of our school community and the way in which students are keen to support the school by being actively involved.
