We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We pay our respects to all First Nations elders, past present and emerging.
It is wonderful to see so many students upholding our school values of leadership and community. Students here are always eager to go out of their way to help others and I feel very proud when I see students showing leadership at school by setting a good example for others. In particular, I would like to congratulate students in LN3 who have seen being great role models for students in LN1.
I am happy to let you know that I will be continuing as acting principal at BVPS in term 2. Carmela has extended her leave for another term. Thank you to all the support you have shown me.

Broadmeadows Valley Primary School will Celebrate Harmony Day on Monday 28th March 2022 (a week later than the official Harmony day celebrations). Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, we are still not able to share food, so we are not able to have that part of the celebration. We are asking students to wear cultural dress or to wear orange. Students will participate in harmony day activities in their classrooms.
This year there will be no Mothers’ Day or Fathers’ Day gifts for students to purchase at school. There will still be activities run in the classroom for students to celebrate these occasions. The activities for Mothers’ Day are planned for Friday the 6th of May, after we come back from school holidays.
Broadmeadows Valley Primary School is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. This will be the primary focus of our care and decision-making. Broadmeadows Valley Primary School has zero tolerance for child abuse and is committed to providing a child safe environment.
